Apple Science:
Experiment - What apple product do I like best?
Describe with 5 senses and compare products.

We read a TON of apple-related fiction and nonfiction books and poetry, sang apple-related songs, and had a party! This has to be one of my favorite themes. :)

Fall Centers

Some of what's going on in my October Centers...

This is a math center. They must do what's in the first basket - see next picture. Then they can do something from another basket - one at a time! To the left of the shelf, is what I call a discovery center that can only be played with during a certain part of the day.

The first grade team told us that we did not cover ten frames enough, so now we use them all the time. I spruced it up with some jack-o-lantern bottle tops. Match the flash card, count, choose the correct numeral.

Mmm, candycorn! Self-check puzzle.

More ten-frames! This time they represent the numeral on the ten-frame.
